Week 19 Finding Power Within
Fear is a natural instinct that is ingrained in us from centuries of past generations. The self uses it as a from of protection and preservation in the past. Yes, sometimes it is beneficial. But in modern times, it is force must be reckoned with if we desire to “BE”.
Wherever we are now is the results of “cause and effect”. The institutions around us has led us to live in a world of effect. Mark J. refers to this effect as the “red pencil syndrome”. We are afraid to make mistakes because of fear of failure. But failure is not a bad thing, although it hurts our pride. Let loose of the ego and fly. Learn from the experience and become stronger from the learning. Know that we can control the effect by controlling the cause.
There is a saying “if you don’t mind, it don’t matter.” In the past I never gave it much thought, but Haanel has opened my eyes. My mind is static at rest. Therefore, in thought, “garbage in, garbage out” has a whole lot of meaning. In each of the Physical, Moral, and Spiritual World there is contrast. The contrast, however, are all part of the whole and is governed by law. “The ability of the individual to think is his ability to act upon the Universal Mind and convert it into dynamic mind, or mind in motion.” Haanel 19:14. Therefore thought is the fuel for this vital force called the “power within”. “The fact remains that if your thought is powerful, constructive, and positive, this will be evident in the state of your health, your business and your environment; if your thought is weak, critical destructive and negative, generally, it will manifest in your body as fear, worry and nervousness, in your finance as lack and limitation, and in discordant conditions in your environment.” Haanel. When we change the polarity of our thoughts we can generate vibrations that gives us the vital force to combat fear. This will eventually come with the stillness of our sits.
